about

Me and Rowland The Bastard were booked for a dance festival in Vigo, Spain in 1998. I arrived on the Saturday, but Rowland had already been ejected from site the night before, so I couldn't hang out with him. Something to do with throwing a microwave out of a window and trying to drive a JCB, I forget now. I played my set and then wholeheartedly took advantage of the free bar. I got found some time later, face down in the gravel near the generators and taken back to my hotel room. Hardly anyone attended the festival, even though it had some proper big name DJ's like Sasha and Digweed. Rowland found me on the Sunday morning, paranoid about being paid (not the last time me and him had that feeling after a gig) and spouting conspiracies. We got paid and got to the airport as quick as we could and it was only when we sat on the plane and relaxed that I joked - here comes the hitman. Just to round off a great weekend, we swapped passports as we came back into London and went through passport control. No one noticed.
